The Future is Floating is a residency hosted by the Sydney Festival and Other Sights for Artists’ Projects (Canada) curated by Vanessa Kwan that brings together settler, Black and Indigenous artists to connect and create a culture of exchange. For two weeks 5 artists from Canada and 7 artists from Australia have spent time on Gadigal, Gweagal and Burramattagal lands and waters, presenting ideas, culture, reflecting and making connections. The water is our place for exchange, and for us represents a meeting ground, an impetus for environmental action, and an imaginative space - and we thank Tribal Warrior for hosting us, and for providing such a special platform.
